Turkey Arrests 26 FETO Members Trying to Flee to Greece

Turkish security forces on Saturday arrested 26 members of the Fetullah Terrorist Organization (FETO) attempting to flee to Greece, according to Yeni Safak newspaper.

The arrests were made after the routine check of six cars at the Doyran village on the Turkey-Greece border.

Among those remanded were teachers who had previously taught at FETO-linked schools, discharged police officers, expelled military academy students, and ByLock users. ByLock is FETO’s encrypted smartphone messaging application.

According to Turkish authorities, FETO and its U.S.-based leader Fetullah Gulen orchestrated the failed coup attempt of July 15, 2016.
