Athens Social Services Receive €200,000 in Donations From Greeks in Germany

Greek-Germans have contributed some 200,000 euros in donations to the City of Athens’ social services thanks to a joint initiative with a clinic in the German town of Bremerhaven.

The donations made by the Germans of Greek decent consist of an ambulance, a container filled with food and clothing and medical equipment, according to ekathimerini.com.

The news of the donations emerged on Thursday following a meeting between some of the donors along with Juergen Wissler, who is the director of the AMEOS clinic in Bremerhaven and Athens Mayor Giorgos Kaminis.
