Greek Schoolchildren in Frankfurt Put on Concert

A group of Greek schoolchildren from the European school of Frankfurt took the initiative to share their culture and perform a series of songs from famous Greek composers in frontĀ of their non-Greek classmates.

The concert has been named “Songs from Greece” and will be performed on two occasions. The first at the European School of Frankfurt will be on Friday March 31. On Sunday, April 2 at Schwetzingenā€™s Alte Wollfabrik near Haidenburg they will be performing again.

The students also contacted the well-known Greek singer Iro via the cultural office called ā€œPolytroponā€ in Frankfurt. The singer agreed to meet them and will be presenting the concert on Sunday.

Among the variety songs that the children will be performing are ones composed by the famous Theodorakis and Chatzidakis.
