Lagi Demetriou, part of the Stavros Flatley father-son act that came in fourth place on Britain’s Got Talent in 2009, has been arrested after police found a cannabis factory in his North London flat, ibtimes.co.uk has reported.
According to sources, Demetriou doesn’t reside in the flat, he instead rents it out to a friend. The irrigation system to water some 460 marijuana plants with a street value of £56k was discovered by firefighters who were called to the building to investigate a leak.
Sources told the Sun that his father was devastated when he learned about the drug charges his son is now facing. “He burst out crying when he heard,” said the friend. “Demetri’s 100 percent against drugs and will be furious about this.”
Mail Online reported that Demetriou was bailed until May pending further inquiries.
