A bronze medal depicting a 2nd century BC bust of Athena Promachos is currently on display in the Gods and Heroes of Ancient Greeks exhibition at the State Historical Museum of Russia in Moscow.
The exhibition, which runs to February, is part of the series of events for the Year of Greece in Russia.
On display at the exhibit there are 135 ancient artifacts including sculptures, ceramics, coins and jewelry. The ancient treasures date from prehistoric times up to the Roman era and are on loan from various Greek museums.
