Russian tourist operators have recorded an augmentation of 10-15% in demand for vacation in May, in comparison to last year, with popular destinations abroad being Greece, Cyprus, Spain, Montenegro, Italy, France, and the Czech Republic.
Russians appear to prefer the sunny and coastal destinations, with Greece being on of the major players. TUI Russia records a great amount of selling in Greece, as according to the company, the country’s good performance is attributed to the distancing of two popular destinations for Russians: Turkey and Egypt. Cyprus has also gained a great space in the preference of Russians as an alternative destination.
In addition, tourist operators have noticed that Russian tourists in their majority, travel abroad and choose cheap destinations for accommodation and also reduce the length of their vacations.
