First ‘Ellada Pantou’ Festival to Take Place in Finland

ellada-pantou-festivalThe Social Cooperative Enterprise “Ellada Pantou” (Greece All Over) in collaboration with the Finnish-Greek Societies Federation based in Finland –18 Finnish-Greek clubs with up to 1850 members — and the Hellenic Association of Finland has organized the 1st “Ellada Pantou” Festival in Helsinki, Finland, scheduled to take place on October 23 and 24, 2015.

The festival’s main purpose is to highlight the relations between the two countries, promote the products, services and culture of Greece, and also to focus on social entrepreneurship, as well as collaborative and social economy.

In regards to the promotion of Greek entrepreneurship and intercultural dialogue the festival committee has organized a four-module workshop to be held on October 23 at the European Commission’s Hall in Helsinki (Eurooppasali). The workshop will include a Greek artwork exhibition, a gathering for the networking of Greek cuisine and trade professionals, as well as the sampling and promoting of Greek products, an event focused on the promotion of intercultural relations and an event for the promotion and advertising of Greek tourism and tourist services.

On Saturday, October 24, the historic Helsinki restaurant “Kaisaniemi” will hold a reception for the celebration of the 35th anniversary since the founding of the Finnish-Greek Societies Federation. The event will include song and dance performances. Greek songwriter Thomas Sopilidis is expected to attend in order to present the “Mama Ellas” musical play and the Greek-Finnish band Antama.
