‘Greece All Over’ Festival in Germany

ellada_padouGreece All Over” Festival is traveling to Germany from September 25 to November 5 along with its guide, Greek journalist Grigoris Verriotis, also known as “Biker of the World.”

Verriotis will travel to Hamburg, Dusseldorf, Frankfurt, Stuttgart, Munich and Berlin. These are the places where he will set up his bike as a portable TV broadcasting/radio station. He will carry out a three-day broadcasting marathon in each city in order to present the news of the Greek Diaspora and talk with Greek and philhellenic communities. The campaign aims to raise awareness on the issues of friendship and solidarity between the two countries, as well as to explore a possible collaboration in the fields of culture and social entrepreneurship.

The festival is organized by the Greek Ministry of Culture and Sports with the support of the philhellenic association “Förder- und Freundeskreis Elliniko.”

“My motto is solidarity and cohesion,” Verriotis said at the press conference of the festival’s presentation.

Festival President Thomas Sopilidis noted that their primary goals are the development and consolidation of social entrepreneurship in and out of Greece, promotion of select Greek products, services and goods, promotion of contemporary and ancient Greek culture, and long-term development of untapped social and economic riches of Hellenism.
