Greek to Turkish Translation Workshop

The Consulate General of Greece in Istanbul and Istos publishing house will hold a two-day workshop for translation from Greek to Turkish in Istanbul from on May 17-18 at the Sismanoglio Megaro.

The workshop’s aim is the linguistic, technical and professional training of young and aspiring translators working from Greek to Turkish, through presentations and interactive activities with the participation of leading translators and professionals of this sector.

This workshop is suitable for young translators, connoisseurs of both languages in advanced level and with an interest in translation. Priority will be given to students of academic and tutorial sections of Greek language and literature.

The application deadline was on April 10. In order to participate, the applicants should have submitted an introductory letter of up to 200 words, a brief CV, a translation to Turkish of a Greek literary text of 800 words of the applicant’s choice.
