The Greek Deli Charming Londoners

godess lifeIn the heart of London, near the British Museum, is an excellent ambassador of the Greek traditional gastronomy that has fanatic customers.

The delicatessen “the life goddess” was founded in January 2013, by Nikos Nyfoudis, who comes from Thessaloniki, northern Greece. Nyfoudis had the original idea during his studies in London when he was missing the Greek cuisine and he couldn’t find a slice of real feta or a Cretan rusk.

“The life goddess” has traditional products from all over Greece. Customers can find fruit and vegetables ripened under the Greek sunlight, meat, fish and poultry grown in local farms, delicious Greek wines, Dramasian pastrami, Cretan gruyere and many others. The Greek delicatessen aims not only to introduce Greek cuisine to the British market but also the Greek mentality towards food. In the Greek culture, preparing and sharing a meal with your loved ones is a ritual and a token of love, affection and friendship.
