The Greek restaurant “Nostimo” in Amsterdam organized a dinner to promote the institution “Mount Athos Area Kouzina” of the “Mount Athos Area Organization.” The dinner, which excited the Dutch, was inspired by the culinary tradition of Thessaloniki and Halkidiki, northern Greece.
The chefs, Georges Thubert and Fanny Aravidis, presented their special dishes to several press representatives, wine lovers, and journalists.
This initiative of the Mount Athos Area Organization counts as the second effort to penetrate into the Dutch market. Similar initiatives of the organization and the Greek Tourism Organization (EOT) have contributed to the growth of the area of Halkidiki.
Before dinner representatives of the organization presented the completed program of activities of “Mount Athos Area Kouzina 2014,” which will take place in the third peninsula of Halkidiki, Greece from May 15 to June 15. The presentation was followed by wine tasting of five labels produced in the Holy Monastery of Aghios Panteleimon.
Press representatives of Holland and Belgium were invited to Halkidiki in order to participate in a familiarization trip, which will be held by the Mount Athos Area Organization in cooperation with other local organizations.
