n_52047_4Rock tombs have been found in Bodrum, that consitute  a part of the necropolis area. The manager of Bodrum Underwater Archeology Museum as well as archeologists are leaders of the excavations in the southwestern Aegean era of Turkey.

The rock tombs are supposed to be from the early Mycenaean Greek era that took its name from  an archaelogical site in Greece, located about 90 kilometers southwest of Athens, in the northeastern Peloponnese.

According to analysts, the tombs revealed human and animal bones, bronze containers and many different kinds of pieces. Moreover, these rock tombs also bring to light the culture of the early Mycenaean Greek era, as well as the period’s artistic approach.

The findings of the excavations are supposed to belong to the Bronze Age and also to the Akha Hellenistic era.
