Greek Tourism Looking Up

greece_pavillion_imex_frankfurt_1_600On the occasion of the International Exhibition for Incentive Travel, Meetings and Events, IMEX 2013, which took place in Frankfurt and where EOT participated as well, some positive signs of Greek tourism were revealed.

According to organizers’ data, about 9,000 professionals visited the exhibition, while the individual business meetings between exhibitors and conference tourism professionals were increased by a good 33%.

The Greek pavilion, occupied 275 m² and hosted 26 representatives of the industry, convention centers, entrepreneurs and individual hotels. EOT presented to about 150 buyers who visited the pavilion, an analysis with the advantages of Greece, and Panagiotis Skordas, director of the GNTO office in Germany, held meetings aiming at a closer cooperation and greater efforts to be made in order to promote conference tourism in Greece as well.

“The interest of conference tourism professionals in Greece was great, proving in this way that the climate of confidence for our country is beginning to be restored,”  Skordas stressed.
