The Chef’s Club of Greece, accepting the invitation by Georgios Chatzimarkakis, Greek MEP of the Democratic Party, Alliance of Liberals and Democrats of Europe, in Germany, presented Greek gastronomy in the workshop, Increasing Greek Agricultural Productivity by Raising Quality, which was organized on April 10, in the European Parliament in Brussels by Chatzimarkakis’ office.
For this reason, 60 Greek chefs from all over Greece, as well as from many parts of Europe, traveled to Brussels to represent Greek Gastronomy.
In this event, five different thematic buffets with local courses from all the regions of Greece were presented to 400 guests. The presentation was under the auspices of the Ministry of Tourism, the Greek National Tourism Organization (GNTO), and the Ministry of Rural Development and Food. The mission was supported by state actors and companies of the food sector that contributed traditional local products.
During the buffet, the Greek chefs served the attendees, gave information about the recipes they tasted and about the traditional products used for their preparation. The attendees’ comments were very flattering regarding the food as well as the presence of the Chef’s Club of Greece and the proper organization.
