Tatoulis made special reference to the improvement of access infrastructure, but also to the close link between gastronomy and tourism under the Peloponnesian Quality Agreement, which has been established in Greece for the first time.

The Peloponnese region aims to expand in the tourism field following the new strategic plan for tourism. Tatoulis presented the basic points to re-approach the Peloponnese brand and the schedule which has to be followed within the next year, in a ceremony held Feb. 27 at the Athens Concert Hall.

“Our vision is to make the Peloponnese the best quality, multi-theme destination in the Mediterranean,” he said. The new tourism strategic plan is related to traditional elements of the Peloponnese, such as the region’s history, beaches, products and accomondation.
