kefalogianni-200x191Greek Minister of Tourism Olga Kefaloyiannis, is in Serbia for a two-day visit, accompanied by the Vice President of GNTO, Christopher Kaparounakis.

Kefaloyiannis met with her Serbian counterpart Goran Petkovic. They discussed extensively on issues concerning bilateral cooperation in the tourism sector and agreed there is huge development potential.

“My meeting with Mr. Petkovic was held in an extremely positive atmosphere. We want to attract more Serbian visitors and examine if we can do joint investments in the tourist sector. We see that Greeks are investing in Serbia, and we want to see the potential of joint investment projects in the tourism sector,” Kefaloyiannis told AMNA.

She also visited the Nebojsa Tower, where the Greek revolutionary Rigas Feraios was strangled. The tower has been restored with money donated by Greece and now is a museum exhibition space. On Feb. 22, she is scheduled to attend the opening of the 35th International Tourism Fair in Belgrade.
