With her talent and appearance, Stefania Rizou charmed both the judges of the biggest talent show in France The Voice, and the French audience as well. The presenter of the show, Greek Nikos Aliagas sat at the piano along with Rizou, before she appeared in front of the judges, interpreting Manos Hadjidakis’ melodies.
After Stefania appeared on stage performing Adele’s song Skyfall, she received some pretty amazing comments over her breathtaking interpretation. “We heard a wonderful interpretation of the James Bond theme song, but little did we expect to actually see a Bond Girl,” said one of the four judges, while another one added: “The truth is that you are exactly what we looking for, a strong and correct voice. But we did not expect it to be accompanied by such a beautiful presence! The goddess of Greek mythology.”
When Stefania said she is of Greek descent, with the judges’ encouragement she also sang one stanza from the Greek traditional folk song Samiotissa. On Feb. 11 front page of The Voice official website with the show’s best moments, Stefania’s photo is center featured.
During the first phase of the audition, the singer performed the song Blind Audition, which means that the judges cannot see the contestant and only judge them for their talent.
If the judges say yes, the contestant continues on to the second phase, where the judges can see them. After Stefania, gave a unique performance, she came face to face with the judges.
Sakis Rouvas was also excited with Stefania’s performance and did not miss the chance to support her via twitter: “I’m so proud of our girl. Ladies and gentlemen our Stefania Rizou will perform in the final of the French talent show, The Voice.”
