At a concert given by The Modern Conservatory of Larissa and Cultural Association of Tyrnavos in the Bulgarian capital Sofia, Greek musicians received a warm applause for their performance.
The event was held in the auditorium of the National School of Music Lubomir Pipkov and featured the works of Manos Hatzidakis, one of the greatest Greek composers, including his Street of Dreams. Stavros Kougioumtzis’ White Pigeon was another show-stopper, along with the work of Markos Vamvakaris, universally known as the “patriarch” of the rebetiko, and his stirring Dawn, Three O’Clock,
Tthe Cultural Association of Tyrnavos dancing group performed a program composed of traditional Thessalian dances. The Greek Embassy of Sofia contributed and supported the organization of the event.
