Ververidis Presents Recent Work in Central Vienna

Greek restaurateur and artist Dimitrios Ververidis showcased 20 of his most recent works of art at the central square of Stephanplatz in Vienna, Austria on the occasion of World Savings Day celebrated on October 31. The art exhibition was organized by one of the biggest banks in the country and hosted at the bank’s branch in the center of the Austrian capital.

Ververidis’ paintings have been described by art critics as colorfully vibrant and dynamic, pointing out his Greek origin and his Mediterranean spirit even though he has lived and worked for many years in a mid-European country.

Ververidis born in Thessaloniki in 1960, had specialized in restoring icons before moving to Vienna and receiving his MA degree in History of Arts and Archaeology. At the same time, Ververidis decided to pursue his passion for sculpture and painting, which he still actively carries out. He also continued his studies in art preservation and restoration techniques and has so far worked for the restoration of icons at the Greek Orthodox Cathedral of St George and at the Holy Trinity in Vienna.

Ververidis’ artworks have been presented in many countries besides Austria. Since 1999, he has been running with his brother Apostolos Ververidis the Rahmen-Galerie Böck, one of the oldest art galleries in Vienna (founded in 1907).
