One hundred Greek fans had the chance to meet their favorite Turkish actor in person when they traveled to Constantinople to see TV star Burak Hakkı, who has become popular with the Greek audience with his series Dudaktan Kalbe, screened as Kismet on Greek television.

Hakki said he appreciated the admiration of his Greek fans and decided to visit Greece to express his gratitude. His supporters created a fan club that now has 4,500 members, 100 of who were lucky enough to be chosen to travel with the Turkish actor in a mini-cruise on the waters of Bosphorus.

Kismet, a drama series, was screened by ANT1 TV station and was among the most successful Turkish soap operas of the Greek TV in 2010. The popularity of Turkish series on Greek TV has led to complaints from some Greek Orthodox Church leaders and other groups.
