At first, international media were joking about the Greek national football team which participated in the European championship of 2012. They did not like their everyday clothes, the coffees they were drinking or their Mediterranean look with sun-tanned bodies and 2 or 3-day-long beards.
But as the London Olympic Games begin today, British The Sun found other Greek athletes to laugh at. Occasioned by this photo of Vassiliki Arvaniti, an Olympic beach volleyball player, they compared her pose with that of woman ‘giving birth’!
“One more heave and you’ll have that thing out. A big hand please, for Greece’s Vassiliki Arvaniti who has either adopted the classic pre-serving pose or is about to become the first Olympic athlete to give birth,” reports the British newspaper.
At least, they admit that she is a very talented and eligible girl. “Apart from the rear view, career earnings mean she can afford to buy all of Greece and probably a large chunk of Cyprus,” continues the reporter.
