Greeks of UK to Watch Hellenic TV for the First Time

Greeks living in the UK will have the opportunity to watch Hellenic TV for the very first time. Through the launch of channel package Vision247 via Freeview platform, they will enjoy a variety of Greek programmes including drama, news, documentaries, sports, music and several shows.

Broadcasting on FreeviewHD with VISION247 is very low cost, compared to many millions of pounds for a traditional terrestrial or satellite channel in the UK. Freeview is the UK’s main Free-to-Air digital TV platform, offering already 50+ digital TV channels.

Viewers with the latest Freeview HD enabled television will have the chance to watch the Hellenic TV1 and Hellenic TV2 as well as RIK Sat, Mega, Sigma and NRG channels.

Digitaltveurope.net reports that John Mills, CEO of Vision247, said, “For the first time we can provide live broadcast over the internet and onto Freeview HD televisions for the Greek community in the UK. Bringing original broadcasting from Greece into the home is a great way to bring families together and maintain their cultural ties, no matter where they now live.”
