Sofia Dourvari is a Greek fashion designer that has launched Sofia Couture, a luxury clothing company based and inspired by her Greek roots. On July 1st, Sofia will present her first fashion show at Manchester’s Palace Hotel.
The Greek fashion designer will showcase about 20 pieces, inspired by the wind and water of Greece. Sofia Dourvari, aged 29, comes from Athens. She studied fashion design at Salford University and later earned her Master’s degree in textiles technology at the University of Manchester. During her academic career, she won the “Best Designer Award” at the International Student Festival (2007).
Mrs Dourvari works as a personal assistant at Mode International clothing warehouse.
She told easier.com that it has always been her dream to show her collection to a wider audience. “The fashion show has already had a great response, and I welcome guests from the region to come along and view my unique collection,” added the Greek fashion designer.
