Czech Magazine Features Olive Trees of Parga

Parga is a famous tourist destination attracting thousands of visitors each year from all over Europe. It lies in the northwestern side of Greece and belongs to the Preveza Prefecture. Czech reporters visited Parga not only to have a short vacation on its charming beaches but also to inform readers of the popular E15 magazine about the age-old olive trees of Parga and to explain the process of turning olives to oil.

Local olive growers describe their job as well as the hard conditions under which they work all year long. For most of them, according to the correspondents, this job belongs to a long-established family tradition which taught them how to treat the olive trees. The farmers told the Czech journalists, who praised  the agricultural products of the greater region, that they firstly collect the olives and later, transfer them to the closest olive mill located in Preveza.

We should also mention that the international media very often report  about Greek olive trees and the high quality olive oil. Less than a month ago, European journalists visited Crete to familiarize the world with the island’s olive trees.
