Drachmageddon

Ready for what is about to come? On Monday morning, Greece, this modern nation could be waking up to a nightmare scenario: the cash machines start drying up, supermarket shelves are cleared by families in case food supplies run out, and before you know it, the protests have turned to looting, civilians will be locking themselves up in their houses out of pure fear…

Without cash from the International Monetary Fund and Europe, Greece will literally go bust within months. It is indeed the moment of truth, not only for Greece but for the whole eurozone.  The future of the European Union will be played out in the next few days, not to say in the next coming hours.

Nobody really knows how the scenario will play out, but either way Greece is facing a bleak future, with Spain and Italy following in its wake; in fact Spain’s foreign minister Jose Manuel Garcia Margallo suggested that the collapse of the euro is imminent. He said, “If the Titanic sinks, it takes everyone with it, even those traveling in first class.”

The current balance deficit is only 2bn euros. It can be found in 2012 by slashing huge wages in the public sector and by confiscating wealth of Greek oligarchs. Nobody has to live in a mansion. Their fortune can be confiscated and sold to foreigners to cover the balance deficit. These untaxed extra rich should start learning to live like ordinary working people.Ordinary working people are struggling to survive. It should the wealthy who pay the crisis.
