“Trust is what matters to real friends” is the new printed slogan launched by six major German tour operators aimed at promoting Greek tourism.
Giant companies, such as TUI, 1-2 Fly, Thomas Cook, Neckermann Reisen, ITS and Jahn Reisen, have expressed their support towards Greece by organizing an initiative to boost Greek tourism amidst the ongoing crisis plaguing the country.
According to the campaign slogan, Greece was and still remains one of the top travel destinations for Germans. In total, these six tour operators are responsible for the transportation of 2/3 of German visitors to Greece.
The promotional campaign aims at confirming that Greece remains a unique travel destination and that recent incidents are of no harm to German tourists wishing to visit the Mediterranean country. The printed advertisement comes after the ITB Berlin 2012 expo and the contacts developed between the Greek and German tourist agencies.
On the occasion of this campaign, the President of the Association of Greek Tourism Enterprises (SETE), Andreas Andreadis, stated that reversing the current negative trend for Greek tourism has already begun. “First the Greek enterprises and now our year-long colleagues from abroad are attempting to increase the numbers of visitors to Greece. In hope that the Greek state will also take some relative initiatives, SETE greets the confidence vote of the six German tour operators for Greece. We are convinced that the collaboration between the domestic and foreign tourism forces will aid the achievement of our goals and the Greek economy” said Mr. Andreadis.
