In Istanbul on Monday, Ecumenical Patriarch Vartholomeos received the members of the national athletics team that participated in the World Indoor Championships.
The Patriarch, who was aware of the gold medal won by Dimitris Hondrokoukis in the high jump event, as well as the performances of the rest of the Greek athletes, received the members of the team cordially and gave his best wishes for the tournaments that will follow.
In parallel, he called on them to remain adhered to their goal and to resist the difficulties of the times.
