International ‘Nikos Kazantzakis’ Prize To Be Established By International Society of Nikos Kazantzakis’ Friends

The International Society of Nikos Kazantzakis’ Friends decided to establish an International ‘Nikos Kazantzakis’ Prize to honor the Greek author on the occasion of the 55th anniversary of the author’s death.

The competition includes the writing of a dissertation project or a research project as well as poetry and prose writing inspired by the work of author Nikos Kazantzakis. The prize will be awarded to the winner in October of 2013.

Everyone who is interested in this competition should submit his/her work by the end of April, written (20 pages) in one of the following languages: Greek, French, Italian and Spanish.

The competition constitutes an initiative of the International Society of Nikos Kazantzakis’ Friends. Members of the society are thinking of organizing another competition, aiming at the production of an art creation (documentary, musical composition, painting) inspired by the work of the Greek author.

Since December 14, 1988, when the International Society of Nikos Kazantzakis’ Friends was founded by Eleni Kazantzaki, George Stassinakis, and George Anemogiannis, the society has added over 5.000 registered members in over 105 countries worldwide.
