Turkish Businessmen Attending Summit In Greece In September

Turkish daily Sabah reported that an organized trip of 200 Turkish businessmen will visit Greece in September, in order to take part in a privatization plan valued at an estimated 50 billion Euros.

The Greek Business Federation made an open invitation to Turkish businessmen last November to join a summit on one of the Greek Islands in May, which was postponed to September in light of the coming elections in Greece.

Greece’s Hellenic Federation of Enterprises Coordinator Ioannis Patsiavos told Sabah that the plan is to aid the collapsing Greek economy through the privatization of banks, ports, hotels and airports, and that the Turkish business world could also benefit from the plan.

The Turkish side has expressed its interest both in medium and large-scale projects.
