Fanis Gekas Officially Part of Turkish Samsunspor Football Squad

Greek football striker Fanis Gekas has officially become a player for the Turkish football club Samsunspor. After passing all medical exams and appearing before the Turkish team’s management, Gekas signed his new contract transferring him from the squad of Eintracht Frankfurt to the one of Samsunspor.

According to information available, Eintracht Frankfurt released Gekas for 300.000 Euros and the Greek player will be free of obligations to watch the game between his new team and Galatasaray. His debut appearance with the colours of his new team will be made next season against Trabzonspor.

Gekas’ contract foresees a 400.000 Euro payment for 6 months, while it leaves open the possibility of renewing his cooperation with the Turkish team. Samsunspor ranks 16th in this year’s Turkish Leeague, with only two victories and 13 goals in overall 18 seasons.
