Greek Carols in Istanbul

The principal of Zografio Greek School in Turkey, Yannis Dermitzoglou has organized a carol singing event for the second time in Istanbul, during which children from Zografio High School in Istanbul sang joyful Christmas songs.

The group of children holding triangles was accompanied by the principal of Zografio School, who was playing the accordion and both of them went arroundIstanbul singing carols. The re-elected representative of minorities in the General Directorate of Foundations, Lakis Vingas was giving delicacies and cookies to the attendees of the event.

Many Turks with Greek heritage and graduates from Zografio High school were also in attendance. Moreover, the children sang carols in front of the Greek Consul General to Istanbul, Nikos Matthioudakis, while the event was very welcomed by Turkish citizens as well.

On the occasion of the event, Christmas Wishes have been announced by both Consulates General of Istanbul and the Greek Embassy of Ankara.
