St. Barbara Greek Orthodox Church will hold a concert of sacred music performed by the internationally acclaimed Konevets Quartet of St. Petersburg, Russia, at 7:30 p.m., Thursday, Nov. 3, in the church sanctuary.
Following the concert, a reception will be held in the church fellowship hall. Members of the quartet will be available to speak with guests, and CDs of their music will be available for purchase.
The Konevets Quartet was founded by graduates of the St. Petersburg Music Conservatory and has performed in great cathedrals throughout Russia, Europe, and North America. They are on a 13-state tour of the United States. After the Durham concert, the quartet will perform in Charlotte on Nov. 4.
Tickets are not required, but offerings will be accepted.
The church is just south of Southpoint Mall and a half mile south of I-40 exit 274.
