Shaya and Mark Angelo were nominated “Best Greek Act” at this year’s MTV Europe Music Awards. The second position was secured by the Greek boy band ‘Kokina Xalia’.
As a result, Shaya and Marc Angelo will perform at the MTV Europe Music Awards 2011, in Belfast on the 6th of November at 22:00. The hostess of the television program (MTV Channel) of the annual competition will be the famous singer and actress Selena Gomez and the show will take place in Odyssey Arena in Belfast.
From now on, Shaya and mark Angelo are attempting to rank 1st among the best local winners of other European countries. During this week, fans will be able to vote for their favorite European Act via www.mtvema.com. The winner of the online voting will be made officially known on the 24th of October and will participate in a competition with candidates from South America, North America, Asia, Africa,India and Middle East.

Mark F. Angelo was born in Athens. His studies in a music high school helped him write and produce music, not only for his own projects but for other artists as well.Mark F. Angelo released his personal album “Play.Pause.Stop.Rewind.” in July 2010 through MY Group and Sony Music. The album features special all star guests such as: Onirama, Vegas, Alex Kavvadias (Matisse), Shaya, Lydia, Jamie Jay, Hazel.
Shaya Hansen is one of the most well known pop singers in Greece. Her career started when she took part in the POP STARS TV show that formed the all-girl band Hi-5. Shaya collaborates with Mark F. Angelo in two songs, “Far From Everything”-the theme song of Mad Video Music Awards 2010 by Vodafone- and “My Radio” that are included in his album “Play.Pause.Stop.Rewind.”.
