Pighi Lykoudi Performs Major Greek Poets’ Works In Istanbul

Famous Greek composer Pighi Lykoudi will give a consert on October 23 at the Sismanoglio Megaro of Constantinople under the auspices of the Consulate General of Greece in Istanbul.

The event is organised for the occasion of the 20th Anniversary of the election and enthronement of His All Holiness Bartholomew the First to the first throne of the Orthodox Church and the 50th Anniversary of His ministry in the service of the Greek Orthodox Church.

Works based on the poetry of major Greek poets, such as Kostis Palamas, Georgios Drosinis, Zacharias Papantoniou, Yiannis Ritsos, Nikiforos Vrettakos and G.P. Ioannides, as well as on works by other Modern Greek composers and poets will be performed at Pighi Lykoudi’s concert. Singers Rita Antonopoulou, Panagiotis Terzakis and Nikos Karakalpakis will also take part.

Composer Mrs. Lykoudi will be playing the piano, while Christos Chouvardas and Dimitris Kouzis will be following her with strings and violin.
