Greek artist from Hellenic Diaspora (born in Athens, grew up in Vienna and now lives in Oslo of Norway), Nikol Konstante moves between singing and painting. She will appear at the Art Place of Athens, Aggelon Vima until Sunday.
Do you think that angels exist? Do you have anyone that protects you?
I think that angels exist…everywhere and that everyone can realize it. The difficulty is on how can someone distinguish an angel through ugliness, poverty, people in pain. I think that angels protect me, constantly!
Nowadays, do you think that Greece will pull through normally or… through artificial respiration?
I think that Greece is surviving normally during its historical development, even using artificial respiration in order to manage it. Moreover, I believe strongly that Greeks can overcome obstacles when unified. I believe in new generation’s capabilities.
You live in Norway. What is the opinion of Norwegian people about Greece?
They love Greece, Greek food, Greek life style. They also travel to Greece during the whole year. They are disappointed with the current situation in Greece, because many of them have friends there that are facing difficulties at the moment. Many of them say that the problems that Greece is facing, could be the problems of another country. I agree with this. Thus, I like enjoying angel’s protection and working for common benefit.
