Eurofound: “Greeks Are Not the Laziest in Europe”

According to the research of  ‘Eurofound,’ the European agency which provides expertise on living and working conditions, the Southern Europeans are not the “laziest” of Europe.

Germans and Danish take on average 30 days a year off and including the public holidays they have 40 paid vacation days per year.

On the other hand, the PIGS, as they are called, the Portugals and Greeks, have 33 paid vacation days per year, including the public holidays.

The most “unlucky” Europeans are the Romanians who have only 27 paid vacation days per year.

As a result, Angela Merkel was wrong to support that the European countries facing economic problems have too many vacation days and their employees retired too soon.
