Series of Greek Events Launches Sunday, Brussels

A series of Greek interest events starts on Sunday, the 15th of May in Brussels. The schedule of the programmed events is:

Sunday, the 15th of May 2011, 12:30 pm, Lecture by poet Stavroula Gatsou with the theme of “Poetry and Art” (Philosophical Café, Rue Stevin 134, 1000 Brussels)

Wednesday, the 18th of May 2011, 6:30 pm, Presentation of the book “A Window to the Crisis – The Strange Attractors and the Green Economy” by H. Efthimiopoulos, founder of Greenpeace Greece, former Minister of Environment (Periplus, Rue Froissart 115, 1040 Brussels)

Sunday, the 29th of May 2011, 12:30 pm, Lecture by philologist Ioannis Katsanos with the subject “Ancient Greek Myths in the Theater of the 20th Century” (Philosophical Café, Rue Stevin 134, 1000 Brussels)

Monday, June 6th, 2011, 7:00 pm, Lecture by Professor of History at King’s College of London, Richard Clogg on “The Western Question in Greece and Turkey: Arnold Toynbee and the Koraes Chair” (salle Capart, Centre communautaire de WSP, Av. Charles Thielemans 93, 1150 Brussels)

Sunday, June 19th, 2011, 12:30 pm, Lecture by philologist Catherine Poplar on “The Pleasures of Epicurus” (Philosophical Café, Rue Stevin 134, 1000 Brussels)

Monday, June 20th, 2011, 6:30 pm, Presentation of the Varieties of Greek Vineyards (under the auspices of the Greek Embassy Belgium)

Tuesday, June 21st, 2011, 8:00 pm, Lecture on oenology and presentation of the book “Dark Cellar” by oenologist Mary Tzitzis (the dinner is open to all interested parties and will take place at “Cafe”, Rue Stevin 134, 1000 Brussels)
