Kylie Monogue went from pop princess to goddess as she kicked off her Aphrodite: Les Folies Tour in Denmark last night.
The pint-sized star emerged from a gold shell dressed as the Greek goddess of love, in a tiny white dress, armoured bodice and knee-high gladiator sandals.
She was surrounded by god-like dancers in tiny togas and gold boots.
The shell was inspired by the famous Botticelli painting “The Birth Of Venus” and she evoked the winged messenger myth with her white ear covers.
The Greek costumes were designed by Dolce & Gabbana, who refer to the singer as their “Piccola Principessa” or little princess.
The 42-year-old thundered through new material as well as her classic hits at the Jyske Bank Boxen arena in Herning.
And afterwards she tweeted: “It was fantastic amazing incredible I am overwhelmed.”
Kylie is calling on Olympian strength to get through the gruelling schedule she has ahead.
The European leg alone takes in 36 concerts, including 14 nights in the UK, five of which will be at London’s 02 Arena.
She is yet to announce the dates for her homeland of Australia.
