The European Space Agency (ESA) headquartered in Paris, has announced the investment of 5 million euro in research on space technology by Greek organizations. The proclamation will be published in December. The first work contracts are expected to be signed during summer 2011. Four- million-euros will be invested in the development of flight hardware and the remaining 1 million euros will be designated to research and development. This new proclamation has been an initiative of the ESA-Greece Task Force. It is presided by Achilleas Mitsos who is the General Secretary for Research and Technology of the Greek Ministry of Education.
