Julio Iglesias Cancels Concert in Kerinia

Once again famous singer Julio Iglesias cancelled his concert scheduled for October 16th in Kerinia.  This was a result of receiving many messages on his web page informing him that the area is illegally occupied.

Julio Iglesias’s representative announced according to “Sigma Live” that the singer will not appear in a hotel in Kerinia.  When he was informed that the scheduled concert was to take place in a city  that is notinternationally recognized he cancelled the concert.  If he had known this from the start, Julio Iglesias would not have scheduled the concert at all.

Julio Iglesias’ representative released the following statement:

“Dear friends, Thank you for your messages. Mr. Iglesias will not appear in Kerinia. His scheduled concert was cancelled the moment we were informed that the city is an area self called an independent country without being internationally recognized. If we knew about this from the beginning we would not have scheduled the concert.”

The Julio Iglesias concert was announced last August in the Turkish-Cypriot newspaper “Bakis”, stating that the Spanish singer had signed all the relevant contracts and was supposed to sing in a Kerinia hotel in October 16th,2010.
