3333Young fashion designers from Greece, Cyprus, France and Britain present their latest creations for Autumn-Winter 2010/2011 during the 7th Athens Xclusive Designers Week which was launched in the Greek capital on Saturday.
The four-day event is the first opportunity of this season in Greece for the presentation of new trends in the fashion industry which has been hit hard by the economic crisis.
As a way to promote the communication between young designers and boost the industry in Greece and abroad, the 7th Athens Xclusive Designers Week is run with the support of the Embassy of Cyprus in Greece, the Federation of Greek Retail Stores and the Greek Federation of Exports.
Despite the shortage of money, creativity, talent and imagination were more than enough during the opening gala. In total 20 Greeks and 5 foreign designers take part in the fashion week which also includes a tribute this year to the late British designer Alexander Mc Queen.
Among the young designers who follow his path are Greeks who work in Greece and abroad, as Angelos Frentzos who lives in Milan, Ioannis Guia who works in Paris, Romina Karamanea who lives and works in London and foreigners such as the French Marithe and Francois Girbeaud and the British Adam Jones who has cooperated with Christian Dior and Kenzo.
