The significance of Rhine-Westphalia’s Education Ministry’s decision to recognize the local Greek schools as “supplementary school’s of general education” is mentioned in a report by Vivi Papapanagiotou on Germany Deutsche Welle Radio titled “What the recognition of Greek school’s in Rhine-Westphalia means”.
The report included comments by relevant education coordinators and by the president of the Federation of Greek communities. Specified among others, is that this development comprises a first major step in the evolutionary course of the schools from supplementary to full scale equivalents with German schools.
