Greek director Theo Angelopoulos’s scheduled visit to Turkey was postponed after he was infected with swine flu.
He was set to receive the title of honorary doctorate by the Dokuz Eylul University at a ceremony in the western province of Izmir for his objective, peaceful and humanitarian approach to the history of the region.
Angelopoulos has been put in quarantine at the Athens Airport.
